High Prairie, AB, October 25, 2013 – Jim Peyre and Ron Shunter from POPS Home Hardware Building Centre, were present to accept the store’s 2013 Outstanding Retailer Award during the 18th Annual Hardlines Conference in Toronto on October 23. POPS Home Hardware Building Centre won in the category of Best Building Supply/Home Centre under 25,000 square feet.
The Outstanding Retailer Awards have been recognizing and honouring the best in home improvement retailing across Canada for more than two decades. Over the past seven years, Home Hardware has received 19 Outstanding Retailing Awards – taking home two awards this year.

A positive mindset and the pursuit of something greater for the community has driven POPS Home Hardware’s success. The POPS Home Hardware team’s perseverance through difficult economic conditions and their creativity in revitalizing their store are the characteristics that stuck out to the judges.

In August 2013, POPS proudly opened its 16, 000 square foot store, doubling the size of the original store, which now boasts increased product lines, including home and building. POPS is already planning more expansions for the wood centre.

Kudos to our Store Manager Ron Shunter and all of our Staff for their hard work in getting the new store up and running and for this wonderful achievement.
